Write Now is an informal writers' group that meets once a month from 5 to 6:30 in the Old Lyme Phoebe Griffin Noyes Library, located on 2 Library Lane Old Lyme, CT.
We write for 5-10 minutes on a topic, often a word or phrase like "busy and happy" or "apples and stems". People have the opportunity to read what they've written, but it's very relaxed. After a reading people are free to share what they liked about the piece, but we don't suggest revisions. The goal is to help people get their ideas flowing. For many members it's a therapeutic hobby.
